Power Feed-Thru Systems & Connectors LLC is a Houston, USA-based company dedicated 100% to the manufacture of electrical connectors for powering submersible pumps. It offers systems for wellheads, gaskets, and cable-to-cable connections. PFT connectors are compact units that protect the integrity of the cable and the overall system, ensuring its electrical properties.

Surface Connectors are supplied in customer-specified cable lengths and types for up to 205 amps and 5 kV. They are available for C1D1 rated areas with CSA certification, anti-corrosion coating, and 45° and 90° designs. Penetrating Connectors are manufactured in various ODs and lengths for different head designs. They maintain a 5,000 psi pressure control between the well and the atmosphere. They are available for C1D1 rated areas and are rated up to 205 amps and 5 kV. Bottom Head Connectors provide maximum flexibility with their modular design, allowing them to be installed on various types and sizes of power cable by simply changing a few internal components. They are available for direct field assembly, providing a lightweight and installer-friendly design, or they can be supplied assembled for later splicing to the power cable.

The conductors utilize patented GatorGrip® technology, providing maximum conductivity with minimal heat buildup due to their uniform contact between surfaces. By not using a crimp-and-seal process for attachment, the conductors do not need to be separated to locate tools, and the effectiveness of the process is not left to chance. The most important aspect of this design is that it allows the connector to be completely rebuilt.

The Cable Seal assembly incorporates the latest elastomer technology to handle chemical attack and high temperatures (450°F) with the ability to adjust to thermal expansion and decompression to ensure a tight seal with the conductors at all times. No internal filling with special grease is required. These components are designed to operate at 205 Amps and 5 kV.

The Packing Connector is an excellent flexible, innovative, and high-performance alternative for rapid field assembly without the need for vertical cable splices. It incorporates Cable Seal and Gator Grip® technology. It operates up to 5 kV, and its current-handling capacity is determined by the cable onto which it is assembled. Like other PFT connectors, it uses PEEK™ thermoplastic insulation components.
